Karen LaCroix is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Karen has acquired over 10 years of experience working in corrections, home-based and community-based family services as well as structured programs for severe and persistent mental illness, substance use and cooccurring disorders. She provides both Outpatient Therapy and School Linked Mental Health Services in her current position. Karen works to develop secure and trusting relationships as part of the therapeutic process that focus on individual strengths. She relies on a trauma-informed perspective that combines cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and attachment theories to target issues of anxiety, depression, relationship conflict and grief/loss.
