Tori is a certified therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy through the EMDR International Association. Tori graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA with her BA in social work, a certificate in substance abuse counseling, and a minor in psychology. She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with her master’s degree in social work. She grew up in the Midwest, but spent about 7 years living in Los Angeles, CA and working there in the mental health field. She specializes in working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, stress management, grief and loss, and substance use or addiction issues. Tori works with children, adolescents, and adults, and provides individual, couples, and family therapy services. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy concepts (DBT), and EMDR in her practice with clients. She works with clients in identifying their goals and then with each client creates a therapy treatment plan in an attempt to best meet the client’s needs.
