Gudrun is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling in 2009 and has since worked as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with adults and adolescents with dual disorders. Gudrun is bilingual in English and Spanish. She provides diagnostic assessments along with individual and family psychotherapy for elementary and middle school students within the School-Linked Mental Health Services program. Her interests include working with children and families and working with individuals recovering from substance abuse. She is certified in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is trained in DC: 0-3R diagnostic assessments for children under the age of five. In addition, Gudrun is currently pursuing certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catch-Up (ABC) for young children and their parents. When working with adults, Gudrun focuses on psychodynamic therapy as a base to increase clients’ self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behaviors. She employs a holistic approach while focusing on strengths, empowerment, and assertiveness.
